Professional & Student Development
To help maximize the tools found inside A Hero Within – Today’s Youth • Tomorrow’s Leaders, professional development for school personnel as well as interactive student assemblies/small group sessions are available.
Professional development for school personnel includes:
- Curriculum implementation preparation
- Hands-on review of student activities
- Discussion and review of student assessment results
Student assemblies and small group sessions are ideal ways to implement or reinforce the A Hero Within Program. Mirroring the lessons contained in the core curriculum, students are challenged to:
- Recognize their biggest obstacles
- Acknowledge their greatest fears
- Become more aware of the risks associated with social networking
- Identify ways to become more effective leaders
- Practice verbal and non-verbal communication
- Have a greater appreciation for constructive feedback
- Understand the meaning of "service to others"
- Become committed to making a positive change
- Grasp the importance of their "name" and "legacy"
The following represent various statistics gathered by Paul while working with students during the A Hero Within Program:
- 62% consider themselves role models
- 33% consider professional athletes to be positive influences
- 81% have profiles on Facebook or MySpace
- 32% are bullied at school
- 48% fear failure and rejection
- 55% send text messages while driving a vehicle
Both the professional and student developments are critical components that reinforce the content of A Hero Within – Today’s Youth • Tomorrow’s Leaders being taught in the classroom. Paul will assist you in maximizing the impact of this dynamic program. Inquire about details today!
